well, as u all know the Miss World Competition has ended and I am now back in Indonesia. Cant believe I was there for a month. Time really really flies! by no time I am now back home...^_^

Erm buat yang engga ngikuti acara final nya..
yang menang Miss Russia, she is the Miss World 2008. ORangnya cantik banget, kaya barbie deh beneran. Tinggi banget, kurus, tanned skin, blond pula; a complete package. hahaha

Nah skrg Sandra is back in Jakarta. Home sweet home. ^___^
ternyata effect 1 bulan di sana mayan juga loh.. sandra kmren ini semniggu jetlag (alias waktu tidurnya berantakan)!!!
jadi tidurnya tuh bisa jam 5.30 pagi..
gara2 kan bedanya 5 jam lebih awal..nah kalo jam 5 pagi nya Indo berarti jam 1 pagi nya Joburg. Nah jam segituan sandra baru tidur..
tp untung skrg udah mendingnan ...

Holaaaa,how are you all? well sandra lagi nervous nih skrg..heheh..soalnya tar lagi ada early judging...sktg udah jam 12 siang..tp tadi kita di kasih taunya..jam 11 udah ready..eh ternyata molor..
well ..kl nunggu tanpa tujuan si ga masala yah...tp ini skrg menunggu utk masuk ke penilaian..hwakkwakwkakwka...jadi a lil nervous..

Talent Show Night

KMaren mlm, Sandra was performing at the Final Talent Show. In total there were around 18 girls who performed. We had dancers,singers and girls who play the instruments. Each and everyone of us were very good and unique! I bet the judges had difficulties in deciding the winner.

Buat tariannya ada yang nari contemporer funk dance, ada yang ballet dan juga robotic dance. Keren deh nari nya terpatah2 gt! And they were all really good. Trus2 yang maen musik juga bervariasi, ada yang maen French horn, flute ato seruling dan piano. Yang keren si Malaysia; she composed a song than she play the piano and sing and performed face mask magic at the same time. It was very entertaining. Than we have the singers, they picked only 4 girls to sing and I was one of the lucky girls. Heheheh
Terus di sela-sela Talents performances, we had dance montages. The montages are compilations of the traditional dancers. So for example after 4 talent girls performed, we had a group montage of 4 dancers with 30 seconds performances each.
Jujur waktu gladi bersih latian sebelon final Sandra rada grogi…soalnya lagunya ternyata terlalu rendah. Well salah Sandra sendiri si, soalnya aq kasi minus one nya salah. Aku kasih nya yg kerendahan.wkakakaka..dan krn udah last minute, mereka ga bisa ganti.
Ya udah deh akhirnya waktu finalnya pun Sandra bernyanyi dengan segala kemampuan dan kekuataaan..hahahhaha…feedback nya dari temen2 ktnya nyanyi nya baguss bgt..mereka pada kaget gt ..ternyata i could sing pretty well.hehehe..so I m happy. Well pokoknya Ive given my best. So no matter what the result is. I am happy..
So yeah ..
Akhirnya di umumin deh tiga besar.. Juara ke tiga di raih oleh Ukraine! She did the funk dance. Her dance was ok, but the choreography was really good. The music and the movement was truly a blend! Then the 2nd place went to Austriaaa, she was the one who did the ‘hula hoop’ performance, the circus member. She was entertaining. And the winner 1st place went to …..

Barbados, she sang a Broadway song! Man, let me tell u; her voice was just amazing! she sounded like an angel! Her her performance was a lot of fun, entertaining, exhilarating! She was just awesome!

ChaRity Dinner

Helloww yelloww melloow..sorry nih update blog nya rada lemot..soalnya I've been having a super busy schedule lately. Especially due to the talent show thing, it took a lot of my time for the rehearsals...

Anyway, let me update u with what i did 2 nights ago.
Starting in the morning at around 10 am till 4pm, the girls who are in the final for the talent show had rehearsals. It was a loong rehearsal, lotsa waiting coz there were a lot of girls. Especially who are doing the montage dances (traditional dances).

than my day didn't stop there, at 6.15pm we had to be ready for Charity Dinner; its a dinner where we do the auctions. All the 112 have brought gifts to be auctioned at this dinner. Than the money is going to be donated to help the less fortunate people/foundation. Luckily not all 112 gifts were auctioned from the stage, coz otherwise we wouldnt be finished till dawn!!!

This dinner had a LOT of speeches and what made it worse was the food didnt come out till quite late. erm actually until very late. The main course was served at around 10.30pm. Man, I was soo hungry and exhausted. But we got through it well! ^_^

Oh ya, during the dinner they also announced the finalist for 'Beauty With Purpose Fastracks' and of course INDONESIA is in it!!!!

Indonesia is in the top 10 finalist for Beauty with a Purpose fast tracks. However they haven't announced the winner yet. It'll probably be announced on the final night. Finger cross! hopefully Indonesia can make it ok!

And for your info, if u wanna see the update on Tv; a reporter from GSpot RCTI has just arrived here yesterday. So he'll be updating my activities and upload it at Gspot everyday!

I told u that I got into the semifinals for the Miss World Talent right!!
So, last night after the sport day thingy, we had another audition for the final show.
and guess what??!!!

I GOT IN!!!!!!!!!

at first Im thinking that there would be no way I could make it, coz lawan2 nya org2 item2 yang suaraaanyaa gilaa gilaaa kerennyaa!!!
tp memang tiada yang mustahil bagi Tuhan!

if He's with us nothing is impossible!!!

miSS woRld Sports Woman

huaiiii...
Hari ni Sandra bangun pagi lagi...jam 5 pagi, trus cabs ke lokasi jam 6 utk acara Miss World Sports day! ini merupakan salah satu dari fastracks nya...jadi kl menang bisa langsung masuk finalist!

We were given a team t-shirt and since we are the blue team, so the shirt was blue colour. OUr name was "JobuRg Leopard"! than to make it more fun; leopard are dotted right! soo we dotted our body hahahahha..
we used eye liner to make dotts all over our face and arms! it was soo much fuN!

Our first task was to make a boat out of cardboard and used it for canoeing (kapal2an).Than we had competition between the teams. Oh ya i forgot to tell u, there were four teams; rhino, leopard, buffalo and lions.
so yeah we used the cardboard boat and put 2 people in it and they started to row to go around the river and back. It was quite hard at first, coz u need good communication, skill and power to make the boat MOvE! however overall our team came 2. Good enugh!^_^

Than each of us had to do a set of activities and the results are going to be added as the team mark. First we did the push up. There were 28 girls in our team; so in 30 seconds we had to do as many push up as possible. I managed to do 28 push ups. than we went on to do sit ups, this time we were given 1 minute and i did 48! hahaha
cricket was next and last but not least a 60m sprint run! All of us tried and give our best. However today wasnt our lucky day, our team didnt win the team competition. The Rhinos won it.
Butttt for the individual mark, it was scored by a member in our team! Miss Iceland!
she was really good! So as the result, she's in the top 15 finalist!
I am happy for her!

However, in every competition there would always be people who will be disappointed. So yeah, some of the girls broke down coz they didnt win this competition.
but I tried to calm them down by saying, that we are already a winner to be able to participate in this competition and we are here to learn and add our experiences in life. Its a blessing that we can be here. And honestly time flies! so make the most of every minute and every second, every events in your life coz time will never turn back...

Life is a journey. Be thankful for anything that God has given us, even though sometime life can be tough, lets be tougher, coz God will not tempt us harder than our strength.

Top Model FaShion Show

Bneran loh, kmren mayan heboh jadwalnya..

Kita udah ready and pretty by 8am trus ada photo shoot di Mandela Square (setipe mall centrenya yg terkenal gt de). Trus ada branch (breakfast semi lunch) than we had an hour drive to the location at Soweto.

Nyampe2 jam 2an, trus mulae de do e hair and make up trus Latian coreo bentar.. trus waiting till 8.30pm till the show start. Bayangin tuh stand-by nya dr jam 2 ampe jam 8.30 mlm.. nikmatt..hehehe...
Btw tiap kali kita musti do our touch up for hair and makeup cewe2 ini jadi mayan ganas loh.huhuhu..well krn make up artist nya ga banyak2 banget jadi kan musti antri. Nah nama nya juga competition, jadi of course everyone wants to look at their best performance. Jadi antriinya panjaaangg, trs kl da ktauan yg jago make up yg mana..trus timbul lah trombol2 an..heheheh but I've learnt my lesson from the Swinwear FashionShow; Just do ur own hair and make up because you cant really rely on other people.

We were wearing dresses by African designer. My designer name was 'Story', I am not quite sure whether its a brand or a name of the person; but the dress was quite nice. I like the colour, it was lime green and we had a super COOL bangle. loved it loved it loved it. ^_^ a big yellow full beaded bangle. very berry niceee...i wish it could be a gift for us..hahaha..

Anyway, for this competition out of 112 contestants they were suppose to choose 28 but it increased to 34 girls. From 34 to 10 than 3 and ONE.
The walk was soo much fun! the mixture of music, lighting and crowds were just exhilarating.

Nah, pingin tao kan yg menang yg mana..well
3rd place went for miss India (my room mate!)
2nd place ...Miss Angola
1st place ... Miss Russia

miss Top Model

It feels good to be back in Joburg, somehow it feels like home back here. Hehehe maybe its coz most of our stuff is here that’s why we feel kindda attached to this place.
However I still can’t believe it, that we only have around 10 days left. And there are still lotsa things to do. From the fast tracks, we still have to do Miss Top Model, Miss Sport, Miss Beauty with Purpose and Miss Talent. Moreover we still have to practice for the choreography (stage performance) on the final day. Man I think these few days will be very hectic.
Well it’s kindda started already. This morning we had our choreography practice for the final day than we were rushed off to Soweto (an hour drive) to practice for tomorrow’s show; Miss Top Model. We came back for dinner than we had audition for Miss Talent. I am having a quite busy day today. Huhaaaa..anyway..tadi sempet deg deg an lg waktu audition for Miss Talent. Kmren dl Sandra sempet crita kl aq udah audition kan, well tp skrg mrk mo denger lagi. Jadi smuaaanyaa audition lagi. Apparently they only picked very few girls to perform on the Talent night. I was lucky that I got in to the semifinals, so they are gonna test me again before I can actually perform on the final night. However tonight wasn’t a really good night for some of the girls, quite a few of them did not make it to the semifinals, but I am telling you, they were good!! Some of them had a full costume from head to toe, but they did not make it…I really hope that I could get through!
Btw besok ada Miss Top Model competition nih!! Its gonna be a lot of fun..tp beneran besok jadwalnya jg mayan gila.huhuhuh
>jam 8.15 pagi kita harus udah ready buat photoshoot trus jam 12 an lunch bentar truss langsung ke tempat shownya, which means dr jam 1 siang an kita bakal udah ada di sana..trussss tapi nya shownya baru mulae jam 8 malem..

my 04:00am day!

Remember I told U yesterday that I had to wake up at 4 am! It was real tough!! we were like ZoMbeee.+P

Imagine we woke up at 4:00am go on the plane at 06:30 am, arrived at 08:00am at a city called Mpumalanga (mirip kaya Mputantular gt ya namanya hehe) trus went on the bus for An Hour, till we reached a panoramic place called 'God's Window'. Walked up the mountain and than we were at the right spot to see an amazing scenery of valleys and mountains.(i'll upload photos later at facebook ok coz i dont knw how to upload here *P)
If U've been to Sydney there is a place called ' the Tree Sisters Rocks' yeah ..its similar to that. We were there for half an hour and we had our lunch there too (it was a packed lunch though, wasn't too good)+)

Anyway, we finally finished all of that and reached the hotel around at 03:00pm. We rested till 05:00pm than off we went to dinner. U might think wow, so early for dinner; but no it took an HOuR to reach the dinner place!
HOwever, dinner didnt start until 08:15 pm. THere were speeches...LoOOng speechess..ahahahhah
and at 09:00pm, we were off again to the airport to go back to Joburg!
11:00 pm there we were, back at Sandton Hotel JOburg. Man of us looked awful and we made jokes on how embarrassing it would be if there were paparazzi, we would be kicked by ur countries. hahaha

Than our beloved Mrs.Morley (e chairperson of Miss World) understood our pain. So today, we only started our schedule at 12 pm.
A beautiful sleep for us !

my DaY

I cant believe it, time really flies! I've been here for 2 weeks now and I've got another 2 weeks to go..hiks I think I'll be missing these event soo much hehehhe...anyway. how are u all? well let me tell you how my days' been.
Overall it's been a good day. Remember last night I told u that I was soo tired and exhausted. Apparently I wasnt the only one. Most of the girls were feeling the same way too! So the committee gave us an early night and a late start this morning. We only had to be ready at 09.30 am. So all of us looked refresh this morning! ^___^ Im so glad coz this morning I wake up with the Normal Sandra. Not the LoYo sandra ..hehehe..
btw thanks a lot for all the support guys! thanks for the prayers and votings! ^___^

So here's what I did today:
09:30am we departed to Beverley Hills Hotel (not the one in US ok) to do our Beach Wear Show, arrived there at around 10 ish. However, the show didnt start until quite late. It started only at 3pm. So imagine the waiting...yeah it was quite long. Well I guess 'waiting' is normal in this industry. Lucky I had my ipod, so I wasnt too bored. hehehehe There were also people from Loreal, they helped us with hair and make up touch up. But I didnt manage to have my hair touched up, the queue was soo long and it took sometime for A GIRL's head. Lucky I brought my hairspray so my creative hands did its' move.

Apparently there are soooo maaannnyy preparation before we actually go on stage for the show. From hair, make up, to accessories, to skin touch ups. There were a lot of steps to go through. For example, for the skin; they had to cover up all the marks and bruises that All of us had from the safari. (we were pretty wild back there +P) so from cover up, we go to the lotion- to make us shiny and last but not least, sparkly- so we were glittery.

All of us did the walk and the posing for the fashion show. IT was so much FUN! im Loving it! well this was actually my first time to walk on a runway on the beach! The weather was awesome, the wind was brezzy (which often blew my hair up my mouth and face) but overall all of us enjoyed the show! all of us had soo much fun!
Out of 112 girls, they chose 25, than they chose 10, than 3 and 1!
Guess who the winner is ....

After the show we hanged out there for a while than we came back to the hotel around 6 ish and than dinner at 8 pm. It was a short dinner, they didnt hold us back for too late. Coz we gonna have a supaaaa early morning.
Tomoloe we have to be ready at 04.20 am! which means i have to wake up at 4 ish latest!!!
We are flying off to a place called 'God's Window'. I am not quite sure where and what it is, but it's suppose to be REally Good that's how it got its' name. Well I'll go and check it out tomoloe and let u all knw ok!

Than tomoloe night I wont be here in Durban no more. We will be flying off at night to Joburg, back to Sandton Hotel.

SOalnya abis dr situ kita langsung ada latian coreo buat show beachwear on Saturday (which is tomoloe). Jd kita smua pada rush rush de ke sana..
Udah abis latian selese..kita nunggu bus..lamaa...ngantuk bgt..smuanya pada teler gt..
trus ini tadi musti nya jam 5 an kita ada latian lagi...tp untung di batalin ..krn most of the girls are exhausted.as in cape bgt and teler smuanya..
jadi di postphone ampe bsk..

BIkINI AUdITION

Tidur nya enak de hari ini, soalnya hari ini kt ga harus bangun pagi. So Sandra baru bangun jam 8 utk breakfast, disini tiap meal kita harus hadir loh. Pake acara di absent segala. They really make sure that we do eat. Trus abs gitu kita di kasi waktu luang ampe siang. What did I do during my spare time? I went to the gym. Hehehe gaya hidup sehat nih hehehe. Engga la, soalnya udah lamaaa banget ga olah raga. Jadi mumpung ada kesempatan, ya di jabani. Soalnya biasanya abis olah raga Sandra ngerasa fresh n seger. Jd kl ada wktu ya di sempet2in.
For the afternoon activity, we were told to wear our swimwear because straight after lunch we were going to have audition for the Bikini show. Nah this show worth similar to the Talent show; who ever win this show will also automatically be in the finalist. These shows are called the ‘fast tracks’.
So yeah, I was ready with my swim suit. Don’t worry it was a one piece swimsuit, I don’t want to create controversy on this matter, peace bro peace. ^_* We were suppose to start the audition at 2pm, but then the plan was changed to 5 pm. So from 2-5 o’clock I was updating my bloq..hehehe
From 112 contestants, they chose 25 people to enter the competition for the Bikini show. Miss India was chosen as one of the 25 people. Bangga juga nih jadi roommatenya.hehehe. Terus abis the audition, we had modeling training for the Top Model show. This is also one of the fast tracks. So in total there are 5 fast tracks. During e training they taught us on how to walk, how to stand up straight, don’t move ur head or shoulder, don’t move ur arms too much, a relax and powerful walk.
It was a little intimidating at first, coz Sandra has never modeled before. I never kinda walk on runway for fashion show etc. So its been a great experience. Im learning new things everyday!

Farewell Dinner

Jd skrg experience Sandra ttg Africa da hamper lengkap de, dari lifestyle suku aslinya Africa, tempat tinggal, tarian, music sampe makanan. Lengkap deh info social dan budayanya . Plus orang2 nya jg ramah dan hospitality nya luar biasa. So kmren malem kita ada Gala Dinner buat penutupan acara di Entabeni Safari. Kita smua pada dressup with our cocktail dress and high heels. Tapi bnernya rada out of place si..soalnya bayangin ajah kita cantik2 nih ya trus naik nya apa coba…TRUCk..hahaha yep2 the green truck (liat photo). Jd kita musti manjat2 gt utk naik ke mobilnya. Anyway.mlm itu kita smua jg nyanyin lagu kebangsaan nya Africa Selatan, atmosphere mlm itu bner2 keren banget, jadi merinding nyeritainnya hehehe..soalnya bayangin aja kita smua di barisin di outdoor amphitheater ada 112 cewe trus bintang2 di langit nya kaya pasir di laut! Buaaanyaaak dan terang banget! Trus ada choir yg suaranya beeedeeehh alias ngejreng2 trus kita nyanyi bareng. Pertama mrk nyanyi lagunya Lion King, trus lanjut ke the Song Anthem. Baru setelah itu kita ada dinner.
Nah wkt dinner, Sandra di pilih sama panitianya sebagai perwakilan dari the Asian countries utk kasi kesan2 selama ada di safari. Hati ku sennneeeng bangeet. YA IYA LAh banya-vg-ngin aja aja dari segitu byk org, Sandra yg kepilih. Hihihihihihihhhhi.. seneng nya luar biasaaa! Ihihhihih..tp trus deg deg an nya muncul .errrr Sandra ngomong apa ya…kya kya kya..well I didn’t end up making prepared speech gt..jd wktu di depan ya udah go with the flow ajah…so I said, terima kasih buat hospitality nya buat kesempatannya utk kita smua supaya bisa ngerasain smua ini. Seneng banget bisa ngeliat binatang2 yg luar biasa and experiencing such a natural environment, krn ini merupakan reminder buat kita bahwa lingkungan sekitar kita butuh perhatian kita, jgn cuman menjadi pengguna, tp marilah jadi pelestari. Udah deh tat’s how I did my little speech . ^_^
So yeah selesai malem ini bsk paginya kita harus bgn jam 430 pagi! Krn kita ngelanjutin tour ke Durban. Kl Entabeni kita di safari, kl Durban kita di pantai. So yeah Im looking forward to our next destination.

Good Bye

Hiks hiks.. hari ni sebel, kesel, gondok banget de…hape aku ilang..jadi critanya gini…kmren tuh kan kita baru pindah kamar baru, kali ini kita di gunung jadi ga ada signal buat hp atopun telpon hotel, smuanya ga ada. Tapi untungnya ada internet access.. nah tas Sandra yang isinya hp ama laptop, ku tinggal di reception hotel. Krn wireless access nya cuman ada di reception hotel.. anyway ..setelah aktifitas seharian Sandra ambil donk tas nya ..lalu di taro di kamar.. nah trus Sandra tinggal lagi buat pegi dinner. .ternyata waktu balik dari dinner, eh hp nya ga ada..trus panic, tp ga bisa ngapa2in ampe besok paginya..soalnya telpon hotel ga jalan..trus we were like in the middle of nowhere and ga mungkin utk jalan kuar sendiri coz there could be anything outthere..
So yeah I had to wait till the morning to actually report the lost. Than tat morning, something weird happened!! Me and Miss India were off to breakfast in the morning, but becoz she had left something back in the room, she went to get it. When she reached the room, she saw our things were moved around. Her body butter was scoped out with a finger, and our soaps- her facial soap and my shower gel were opened and filled / replaced with water. Than we realize that whoever came to our room could have been the one who took my mobile phone too! We’ve reported what happened, but I don’t think I would be able to get my phone back… well it’s a lesson to learn, we must be really2 carefull with our stuff and always lock your belongings when u are travelling....Bless the person who took my phone aja de.maybe he / she needed it more than me...Good bye my phone.

Emang bener banget, South Afrika ini jago utk memamerkan kekayaan Negara nya. Jadi selama trip Sandra di sini, setiap hari pasti ada pertunjukan ato show yg nungjukin kekayaaannya budayanya! Jadi misalnya waktu makan siang ato mkn malem nih ya, PASTI ada tari2 an ato traditional music ato nyanyi2 an dari org2 sana. Dan dari smua kalangan umur, smua nya ikut kontribusi utk memperagakan budayanya. Kadang anak2 yg nari, kadang anak mudanya do the funkdance, kadang org tua nya jg ikut padahal yang udah supeeer tua gt yang uda peyote-peyot, tp mrk masi antusiastik utk mamerin budayanya. Mereka pake pakean daerahnya ato busana2 yang berbau Afrika banget. Trs kl utk tari tariannya, seluruh kontestant Miss World kmren ini di ajarin tarian namanya ‘Gamboot Dance’ (hehehe spelling nya ga tao bener ato ga ni heheheh) anyway tarian ini adalah tarian kas nya org AFrika, jadi kita di kasi spatu boot dari karet gt, yang biasanya di pake buat banjir, yg warnanya item! Nah itu kita pake buat nari tapi tanpa music jd iramanya kita buat sendiri pake hentakan kaki kita plus di tambah ama tepukan tangan kita ke spatu boot nya. Hihihi susah ngejelasinnya, moga Sandra ada photonya yah biar bisa ngeliat!okok!
Oh yaaaa krn kita di sini di gunung, jadi tiap malem kita pasti ada acara api ungun. Tapi kita ga cuman duduk dan ngebakar marshmallow doang! Kita nari nari, main drum, rebananya ngeliat pertunjukan tarian traditionalnya..trus biasanya end up nya smua kontestantnya ikut nari bareng2 rame rame.. adu serruu banget de!hihihihi they are soo full of energy and very vibrant!! Lovin it.Nah yang model kaya gini nih Indonesia musti tiru, soalnya jujur aja ya, kl dibandingin ama budaya Indonesia, kita ga kalah man! Malah lebih rame, meriah dan lebih bervariasi.. tp sayang nya kalo di Indonesia ga ada org yg melestarikan dan ga di maintain! Jadi budayanya ga bisa di expose supaya smua org tau. Kl di sini bener2 penduduk nya bangga dgn budayanya! Dan org Indonesia menurut Sandra perlu utk sadar, bahwa kita musti bangga dgn budaya yg kita punya ini. Krn kl kita sendiri ga bangga dan punya rasa aprisiasi buat budaya kita, syapa yang mau ngeliat ato kagum dengan bangsa kita.

Ruma Mini

Anyway betewe busway, selama 5 hari Sandra di Entabeni safari, tiap hari kita pindah kamar lho.. Nama lodge nya ‘Legend Lodge and Golf Resort ‘, nah dia ini punya lodge2 kecil; ada yg di gunung, sebelah sungai, deket museum ama di semak2 daerah terbuka gt (deket ama wild animals). Beneran de, pemandangannya di sini gila! Keren bener! Nanti liat di photo2 nya yah! Tp Sandra punya kamar favourite, penasaran kan?!?! namanya the ‘Primitive Hut’. Jadi kamar ini merupakan kamar ato rumah dr suku asli di sini namanya suku ‘Ngala’. Jd rumah/ kamar2 ini gede nya macem2, ada yg muat 1 org ato 5 org. Trs yg paling unik adalah pintu masuknya! Well ga ada pintunya si bnernya..bolong gt aja alias ga ada pintunya..hehehe..tp bentuknya kecil and pendek.jd kl kita mo masuk musti rada ngerangkak. Tujuannya adalah supaya gaya tubuh badan kita menunjukkan respect to whoever inside the house dgn cara membungkuk. Jujur aja pertamanya Sandra sempet serem wkt di suru tinggal di situ, mana lagi aq paling takut ama serangggaaa!! Nah ini malah kamarnya ga ada pintunya! Tp Puji TUhan, ga ada seranga2 yg iseng msk ke kmr ku.hehehheeh..
Kl td udah tmpt tidurnya skrg makanannya! jd utk mlm itu, kita masak mkn mlm kita endiri loh! It was soo much fun! Pake alat2 nya tentunya yg traditional, jadi apinya pake batu arang, trus pancinya yg jaman dulu punya gt! Terus2 kita masaknya lengkap loH, ada roti, sayur and daging. Tp sebelnya gara2 Sandra telat antri, end upnya aku ga kebagian beberapa mknannya.krn udah abiessss..Ternyata cewe2 di sini ganas2 jg loh kl nyerbu mknan.hahahaha…we would thought, ah engga la mrk ga makan kali ya mangkannya kurus. Tapi ternyata salah besar! Mereka makan nya banyyaaak, tapi makannya mkn an sehat! Jd sayur dan buah merupakan makanan pokok mrk.

btw sorry yah kl SandRa ga bisa updatenya tiap hari krn qta kan di gunung..jadi ga dapet signal buat hp and internet..nah skrg kebetulan ada access, jd langsung de ku update yah yah!

On our 1st day of discovery, qta di perkenalkan dengan binatang2 yang ada di sini. Ada cheetah, white lion, anthilopes, rhinos, worth hog (Pumba dr Lion King), HippO, giraffe, hyena and lots more! Bener 2 lengkap de, keluarga Lion King ada di sini smua hehehe… Yang pertama kita ngeliat cheetah, jadi sebelum makan siang cheetah nya di bawa di perkenalkan ke kita smua. We padded and took photo with them. Oh ya lupa, cheetahnya ada 2, satu cowo – satu cewe; a couple getu de.TEntunya yang co badannya lebi besar di banding yang ce. Tp jujur bentuknya sebenernya mirip ama kucing tp versi buesarnya. Nah mereka berdua nantinya mo di jodohin, tp blon skrg krn umurnya masi kecil hehehe. Nah abis getu kita ngeliat singa kecil. Jadi bentuknya kaya Simba dr Lion King gt de, imut and lucu, tp jenis ini lebih ganas di bandingin cheetah. Jadi kita musti lebih hati hati waktu deketin n photo ama dia krn meski masi kecil, he loves meat! Terus2 yang lebi keren lagi skrg dpt kesempatan utk ngeliat ‘White Lion’! Jujur yah ni singa keren banget! Bulu nya putih seputih salju, trus matanya biru. Pokoknya cakep banget de, they look soo elegant and prestige.Tapi Singa putih ini punya problem, mrk susah utk survive di alam luar. KRn waranya yg putih banget mrk susah utk sembunyi di semak2 ato pohon2. Jadi mereka kesusahan utk ngejar mangsa makanannya. Jadi end up nya jenis singa ini udah tingal dikit banget jumlahnya di dunia therefore they have to be preserved!
Nah itu tadi yang gede and ganas. Selanjutnya kita ngeliat Rhino ato badak bercula. Nah di Africa Selatan kita cuma ada ‘White Rhino’ ato badak bercula putih dan ga ada black rhino. Pertama nya Sandra kira Africa adalah tempat yang paling lengkap buat ngeliat semua binatang2. Ternyata ga smua binatang ada di Africa, krn udara dan environment habitatnya hrs sesuai dgn tipe binatangnya. Btw meski namanya white rhino, warnanya ga putih2 banget, tapi lebih ke abu abu. Btw Rhino ini terkenal ganas mayan ganas loh. Kt rangers nya a bullet wouldn’t kill him. It would take around 5-10 bullets to actually put him down. Tp emang bner si gede banget nih binatang, udah getu berat banget pula. They weight around 2-2.5 tons! Berapa kali nya aku yah .hahhaha…anyway kita di sini ada julukan ‘ the Big Five’ buat binatang2 yg ganas dmn kita hrs lebi hati2, they are Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino and Buffalo. Some of the characteristic of these animals are either larinya cepeeet bgt ato gede banget ukuran n beratnya ato ganas dan buas. Jadi kl nanti tmen2 pada ktmu ama those 5 animals, make sure u take extra care for ur safety ok ok.
Oh ya ada yg menurut Sandra luCu bgt, it’s the HiPPPO!! Coz all they do are just dipping the whole body in the water. Kulit mereka sensitive, jd mrk ga bisa lama2 lama2 di darat coz they’ll get sunburn! (jd inget wkt aku kebakar heheheh) jadinya tiap kali ngelewatin sungai yg keliatan cuman kepalanya doing itu pun ga smuanya, cuman kuping, ama mata ama idungnya dikit..hehehehhe anyway Sandra liat ada 3 hiPPos, the mum, dad, plus e little baby. Well not too little no more, krn badannya mayan gede, tp ga segede bonyoknya of course.
Nah kl yang laennya model jerapah, zebra, antilopes ada di mana2! Jadi while we are on our way in the truck these animals are just next to us. KEren banget de coz we can be soo close tp them.
ITu tadi binatang2 yg di darat skrg yang di udara yaitu burung! Yep yep ada pertunjukan burung2 gt, tp my favourite is the owl, ato burung hantu. nANti liat photonya ya I was holding him! He’s supper cute! Ternyata owl itu terbangnya engga cuman malem doang loh, they do fly too in the afternoon! Terus2 feather nya are just soooo thick and super soft. Pingin banget di bawa pulang trus di jadi in bantal! Bneran de..bulunya tuh halusss bgt kaya kapas trus tebel pula. Jd wkt Sandra ukur seberapa tebel bulu di leher nya, jari telunjuk Sandra sepaoh ilanng! Jd it indicates that they are kindda thick.
Nah abis ngeliat semua binatangnya kita trip ‘bush walking’ ato jalan di safari nya di antara semak2 nya utk belajar ttg their plants. Jalannya lumayan loh we walked around 2-3 hours, mempelajari dan menganalisa tanaman, bunga, dan bugs. Lucu de nama2 nya ada serupa kumbang gitu namanya ‘toki-toki’ warnanya item, gedenya sejempol tangan kita, trus kulitnya kaya plastic! Jd bentuknya kaya maenan seranga2 an gt>>hehhehe..trs kl flora nya..erm macem2 si, byk bgt! kegunaannya beraneka ragam. Ada yg buat racun, ada yang buat antidote ato obat penawar, ada yg buat insect repelant (anti seranga), penyembuh sakti panas dll dll dll..bnayak bgt! Nah di sini Sandra blajr bahwa ternyata alam sudah nyediain lebi dr cukup utk smua kebutuhan kita. Mangkannya let us use the organic stuff! ^__^
Owow ow lupaaaa Sandra mo crita sesuatu yang dung dung banget alias tuulalittt.
Nah secaranya nih ya di Afrika skrg kan lagi musim panas nih, jd mataharinya ya..mayan panas bnaget! Nah wkt jalan Bush Walking, Sandra udah tao kalo bakal panas bnaget, jd udah siap nih ke medan perang! Celana cargo panjangnya di gulung ampe jd celana super pendek, trus lengan polo shirt nya udah jg udah di lipet2. Trs SunBlock udah dioleskan keseluruh badan; tangan, kaki, lengan, leher, muka pokoknya smua de! Udah siap tempur ama matahari. Krn kmren kan pundak nya udah kebakar jd ya learnt frm mistake donk, kali ini pake sunblock. Udah dong, jalanlah aku bersama smua teman2 ku di bawah matahari yg begitu terik dan panas. Dalem hati Sandra mikir..hahaha ill be fine, ga perduli seberapa panas my protection is perfecto! Jd ga mungkin kebakar. Sampai selesai jalan balik ke lodge. Sandra kok kerasa ada yang perih2 yaaaa….kok rasanya ada yg kebakar. tHan I touched my ears and they are RED HoT like chilli!!! Dung dung nya seluruh badan udah pake sunblock , tp Sandra lupa that I have ears that need to be protected from the sun too! Krn wkt itu rambutnya di iket jd ya udah de, kupingku menjadi sasaran utama dr matahari. Bneran de skrg perih banget! Mana kl tidur susah! sOalnya SandrA kl tidur harus kesamping jadi tindih gt de. Haiyaa moga cepet balik normal de ya!huha.bisa bisanya lupa kl telinga adalah bagian dari tubuhku…

Sandra skrg udah ada di safari. Its been a real good time.skrg udah hari ke 5 di sini. tiap hari kita pindah tempat tingal, jadi tiap hari musti packing and unpack and packing and unpack...but soo far masi bearable kok ..masi having a lot of fun

Malem hari pertama nyampe di safari..camera ku HilANg! crita nya begini
waktu itu kan kita naik truk on the way ke funtion hall utk mkn malem. Nah krn jalanan yang gronjalan dan truk nya terbukaa,keluarlah yang namanya camera dari kantong ku dan jato ke jalanan. Nah parahnya Sandra baru nyadar kalo kamera nya hilang waktu kita nyampe di hall nya. Man, my panic mode was totally on. coz all the photos are there, jadi kan GA seru banget aja kalo smua nya ilang!!!
Anyway, Sandra trus minta tolong de ama Rangers nya ato penjaga nya utk bantu cari. trus dia bilangnya, "Aduh kok keliatanya susah ya, skrg kan uda malem, trs di belakang kita tadi ada banyak kenadaraan yang lain. Ya moga2 aja ketemu dan kamera nya ga rusak ya"
waktu denger kata2 dia, I feel hopeless man.
Anyway he went away to try to find it. It took him sometime till he came back wif a news. And guess what happen, He found the camera and it was working totally find!! he was telling me that I was soo lucky, the the camera was located just between a pod of water and the truck's wheel track! Untung camera nya ga kelindes truk and ga kena air!
Man bener2 untunggggg bangett..
hihihih...jadi aku bisa upload upload photo2 buat di share ama temen2 smuaaa!!hehehe

we had to wake up super early today, 6 am ! And luggage has to be out from room at 630 am. They said that today was the start of our journey in the safari. We were told to wear our gym attire and things that are comfortable. Apparently most girls here are having problem with the dress code. Everyone tends to overdress, with their full make up and super high heels. We were reminded so many times to wear flats or trainers, because the fields are rocky and it is too dangerous to wear heels, but yeah some girls care much more about beauty than safety. My personal point of view, they are kindda overboard. I mean we are in the safari, secluded from the metropolitan environment but these girls are dressing up like they are going to nightclub!
Anyway we are now arrived at the place called the Wildlife, Entabeni. Here we are staying at cottages, not a normal house cottages but a semi tent cottage. And we are located in the middle of the bushes! The walk path is dark, lots of bugs and wild animals. We were told not to walk anywhere alone. So where ever we go there’s always be a ranger accompanying us. (even to the toilets, the chaperons has to come with us)

This place is soo cool, we are really getting in touch with the environment.

4rd Day GoinG to saFari TouR

Aduh tidurnya kurang nih! kmren acranya ampe malem trus tadi pagi udah harus bangun. Tuit tuit tuit tuit tuit bunyi alarm menunjukkan pukul 6 pagi, waktu utk bangun Sandra!
Buru buru bangun trus mandi de. Untungnya krn krmen di Indo udah di biasain utk bisa siap ready and beautiful dlm waktu singkat, di sini pun sandra jg cmn butuh 1 jam utk mandi, cuci rambut, set rambut dan make up. ^_^

Tapi trip aku di sini menyenanngkan kok, kmren kita jalan2 keliling Joburg. Qta pergi ke kota Pretoria trs ke Mandela Brigde where all 112 beautiful contestants berbaris panajaaang banget trs di photo dari ujung jembatannya. I bet the result is gonna be soo nice!
Tapi nya krena photo nya siaaang bolong dan matahari nya bersinar terang benerang, tanpa sadar...kuliTku kebakar alias SUN BURn! jadi nih di bahu skrg perih bngt soalnya kmren pake dress tanpa lengan gt..jadi skrg bahu ku kebakar meraaahh..heheheehee

Terus2 hari ini kita mo pergi TouR ke Safari!! nah mikirnya cuman sehari kan, ternyata kita bakal di sana selama seminggu. Sandra sendiri masi ga tao pasti medan perang nya gmn ato ntar bakal ngapain aja, tp yang pasti bakal seru banget soalnya kita bener2 tour di jungle nya ama rangers2 (pemandu) gt! hihihi, i cant wait!
Tapi bener nya Sandra jg rada takut si..soalnya ntar kan pasti banyak serangga, dan binatang2 kecil yang berkeliaran di sini dan di sanaaa..mana aku paling GeLiiii ama binatang yang merAmbaT- RambaT!! ya doain aja I could surivive de ya!

oh ya aku blon crita tenang temen sekamar aku yah! well let me tell u something bout her. Namanya Parvarathy and she is from India. Orangnya ramah, tinggi dan tentunya cantik. Tapi yang bagus banget dari dia adalah rambutnya! Hitam, panjang and lebat, bagus banget!
Nah pada mo tau kan apa si tips nya dia buat bikin rambut nya kaya begitu. Ternyata emang bner, natural ingridients are the best, jd maksud Sandra dia jarang banget ato hampir ga pernah pake produk2 chemical. Tp lebih pakenya produk natural sperti coconout oil dan lidah buaya. Nah tuh buat tmen2 yg penasaran, cobain aja syapa tau rambut nya bisa bagus bangget kaya dia! Yippiee, Sandra has arrived in Johannesburg! A lovely place, friendly people and good weather.
The contestants are also starting to arrive. Soo many girls..erm let me rephrase that, many pretty girls..hhehehe..
anyway, kmren Sandra udah istirahat, tebak de brp jam istirahat nya 14 jam! jadi kmren sore udah tidur trus bangun lagi tadi pagi ..hehehe.enak banget bobonya..jd skrg udah fresh bangeeett!

Terus terus barusan Sandra di suruh bikin video identity profile utk web sitenya miss world! Mungkin pada bingung itu apan kali ya..nah video profile itu, semacem video pendek yang untuk perkenalan diri. Deg Deg an banget tadi waktu persiapannya, coz we were only given 1 minute for the whole thing. Nah mereka cuman bilang, " ini saat nya kalian menjual diri kalian". Trus ya udah de, I did it!
Tadi ada beberapa org yang lamaaaa banget ngetake nya, berkali kali gt. Tp tadi Sandra cuman sekali trus mereka bilang, "Ok, your good!" Padahal tadi nya aq pingin ngulang lagi soalnya rada berantakan, tp mrk bilang " ga usa, uda ok"..
hem ..moga moga ok la ya hasil nya..

Hi, Sandra udah nyampe di Singapore nih, tadi nyampe nya pake pesawat SQ 963.
Di Singapore beda waktu 1 jem lebi cepet dari Jakarta, nah skrg udah jam 11.30 pm. Tapi nya Sandra musti tunggu lagi ampe jam 2.30 am,baru lah aku brangkat ke Johannesburg. Lama ya nunggu nya... mana aku udah mulai ngantuk lagi...Untung de di Singapore ada internet gratis, jadi bisa browsing2 ..^_^

Nah kebetulan aku brangkatnya ga sendiri..ada mama and my manager mR. Monty yang ikut anterin, jadi seru deh ga kesepian. Tp kasian udah pada ngantuk banget de kayanya.terutama si mama..hehehe..

Nanti sesampai di Johannesburg ato singkat nya Joburg, Sandra langsung masuk karantina nih! selama seBULAn lagi..aduu moga moga temen sekamarnya bae de..jadi bisa betah sebulanan..
nAh klo taon lalu, waktu aku nanya ama Miss Indo 07, Disti dapet temen sekamarnya dari negara India. Utungnya ktnya orang nya bae>>jadi dia ok ok aja..Hopefully kali ini aku juga dapet yang Ok juga de...! Doain ya temen 2!!
